01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
When you want to compare sea urchin from multiple origins and varieties side by side, the menu at Uni Tora An in Tsukiji 4-chome delivers plenty of depth. The signature sea urchin selection highlights dishes such as Miyabi, which arranges 20 g each of 5 carefully selected uni varieties, as well as a lavish Miyabi Premium version. Diners looking for an extravagant bowl can opt for the Emperor, combining 6 kinds of uni totaling 130 g with Pacific bluefin otoro, chutoro, and salmon roe, or the Kanade bowl, which brings together 3 varieties of uni, salmon roe, and tuna nakaochi.
Those after a balanced bowl featuring other seafood will find generous options across the kaisendon lineup. Combinations such as the Honmaguro and Uni—bringing together sea urchin with fatty otoro, medium-fatty chutoro, and lean akami—or the Honmaguro, Uni, and Ikura let you enjoy Pacific bluefin tuna alongside sweet sea urchin in a single sitting. Other tailored bowls include uni paired with tender simmered conger eel, or negitoro paired with 2 distinct varieties of uni.
If you prefer to savor the sea urchin on its own without rice, sashimi tasting flights are also on hand. Options include the Miyabi-zashi, showcasing 5 varieties, and the Kanade-zashi with 3 kinds, making an ideal companion when lingering over drinks.
Operating continuously from 7:00 in the morning until 22:00 at night, with counter seating available, the restaurant accommodates visits across the day, whether you are stopping by for breakfast in Tsukiji, a midday rice bowl, or an evening meal.
